A workshop setup with basic mechanical tools on power sources

Welcome to the Revolution!

Wayfind Industrial Revolution (WFIR) is a Minecraft Bedrock addon focused on mechanical systems, automation, and creative problem-solving. Inspired by the Create mod on Java, but rebuilt with Bedrock’s quirks in mind, WFIR brings gears, motion, and logic to your world — one chunk at a time.

Features

Water wheels turning a series of shafts, gearboxes, and a hand crank

Rotational Power

Finally, motion that means something. Rotational power is the backbone of your mechanical network. Transfer it, split it, slow it down or speed it up. If it turns, it works.

Cogwheels and Gear Ratios

Chunky, clunky, and deeply satisfying. Cogs let you shift rotational speed and direction with precision, unlocking a whole new layer of logic and control. Big cogs, small cogs… chain them together however you want!

A series of mining drills all turning

Automated Machines

Why do all the work yourself when you can build a machine to do it for you? WFIR introduces mechanical devices designed to take over the grind and leave you with the fun.

Steel Tools and Armor

Tougher than iron, built to last, but not overpowered. Steel strikes a balance: more durable than iron, steel is a mid-game upgrade that rewards investment without breaking progression. Also, it looks cool.

New Natural Resources

Copper is finally useful! And that’s just the beginning. Discover new resources in the world that fuel your industrial empire one chunk at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Isn’t this just a Create mod clone?

No, but I can see how you got there. I definitely took inspiration from the Create mod team, but I’m not affiliated with them. I borrowed the spirit of Create (mechanical networks, satisfying motion, etc.) and adapted those ideas into something that fits Bedrock’s strengths and quirks. There are some things that I will probably never be able to completely reimplement in Bedrock, so I’m not even trying. I’m taking it in my own direction.

Can I download it yet?

This addon is not yet available for download. I am still working on basic functionality to get it to the alpha testing phase.

When I can download it, will I need experimental toggles turned on?

Yes, but as of right now just one: the beta API toggle. This is pretty normal for Bedrock addons that do pretty much anything interesting.

Is this compatible with other addons?

Yes! I built WFIR to play nicely with others. It doesn’t modify the player.json file (a common cause of incompatibility), and it doesn’t modify any vanilla Minecraft mobs, blocks, or core gameplay mechanics. When in doubt, you should always test your addon combos in a throwaway world first.
